Description

Life Skills Group Program – Group Dog Training in Coffs Harbour

Practical training for real-world dogs.

The Life Skills Group Program is a structured 6-week course designed to help dogs cope better in everyday life and help owners understand what their dog needs to succeed.

This is not about perfect obedience. It is about building skills that hold up in the real world.

Important: Not suitable for reactive dogs

This program is not suitable for dogs who show strong reactivity, such as barking, lunging, or an inability to disengage around other dogs, people, or movement.

If your dog becomes overwhelmed in these situations, a one-on-one approach is a better starting point.

If this sounds like your dog, start with our

How the program works

  • Week 1: dog-free session covering how dogs learn, how behaviour changes under stress, and how to set training up for success
  • Weeks 2–6: practical training sessions with dogs
  • Small group environment with carefully managed spacing

Who this program is for

  • Dogs who struggle around distractions in public
  • Dogs who get over-aroused, frustrated, or shut down
  • Dogs who pull on leash or find it hard to focus
  • Owners who want practical skills that hold up outside of class

What we focus on

  • Understanding behaviour, arousal, and stress signals
  • Building engagement without force or constant management
