Training around Urunga
Coastal distractions make real training visible.
Urunga gives dogs plenty to process, including wildlife, walkers, changing surfaces, beach access and unfamiliar dogs. These are useful places to apply lead skills, engagement and recall once the foundations are reliable.
Bellingen Shire Council identifies the beach south of the river mouth towards the Sand Mines as Urunga’s designated off-leash exercise area. Legal off-leash access does not automatically make it the right environment for every dog.
